Homes under the Hammer

Our very own Sales Manager - Danielle Whitby appeared on Homes Under the Hammer this week!

The episode that was broadcast on 7 January 2021, featured a property on Derbyshire Hill Road in Parr that had been listed for auction early in 2020.

Danielle, who is one of St Helens' most experienced property listers was asked by the BBC production team to provide her expertise to assess the likely sales and rental market value of the property before the property went to auction.

The property was a typical 2 bedroom Victorian terraced house that whilst needing a bit of attention, looked to be a sound investment opportunity.  The property had a guide price of £36,000 at auction and a local developer purchased the property for £41,000 and then spent £22,000 on a full refurbishment.

Danielle was asked to go back to assess the property on completion of the refurbishment works in October 2020 and gave an assessment that it should go on the market in the region of £85,000 to £90,000!

In the programme, Dion Dublin gave his assessment of the property before and after the refurbishment - with Danielle's help of course!
